Bio
I live in Austin, TX, and work as a degree evaluator in the Graduate School at the University of Texas at Austin.

I have 2 cats: Ginger and Charlie. In August 2008, lost my most favorite cat I've ever had, Kitsu. He was a former feral I rescued August of 2001. He was diagnosed in September 2007 with congestive heart failure and chylothorax secondary to dilated cardiomyopathy, a rare heart condition in cats. He became an angel August 12. Just before Christmas, I lost my beloved Fat Bastard, Sam. He was 15, and had health issues the last couple years of his life. He was a diet-controlled diabetic, but he had to go back on insulin when he was treated for intestinal lymphoma with steroids. He had a really good year and a half after his cancer diagnosis, but it got the better of him in December, 2008.

In my spare time, I read (a lot), watch football, crochet, hang with friends and listen to music. I also work on SF/F conventions. I've been involved with FACT, Inc. since 1997. I've been Chair of the Board of Directors, Treasurer and Events Coordinator. I chaired the 2007 ArmadilloCon, the regional SF/F convention held every summer in Austin (I also chaired ArmadilloCon in 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2007). I have been treasurer and Guest Liaison several times as well. I also co-chaired the 2006 World Fantasy Convention which was in Austin Nov. 2006.

I am at an age where I don't give a shit about what people think of me. So I'll give fair warning that I'm opinionated and have a potty mouth, and not everyone's going to like that, but this is my space to say what I want. But I think it's nice to give fair warning. But even though I'm occasionally a pain in the ass, I do provide entertainment value (so I've been told), and I love engaging people with different opinions from my own. So, feel free to friend me if you wish. We all like friends.

Please feel free to stop by my My Space and Facebook sites (I'm rarely on MySpace, and am fairly active on Facebook).
