Happily I slept till 9. Kitties were very nice that way. Watched most of the Williams' sisters match, but mostly two out of four Renegades (guess which two) were feeling sick this morning, mostly on the carpet. I need to run my spot bot to get the spots cleaned up (don't be all grossed out but it's a lot easier to let the spots dry, vacuum, then run the spot bot).
After talking to my BFF
spielmadchen for a bit, I ran down to Epoch for a cinammon roll and coffee. Then douth south to see what I could find at Michael's and Hobby Lobby on clearance. I scored big at the Michael's on Brodie (they had a bunch of TLC, which is my favorite WW acrylic on sale for 65% off), nothing at the Hobby Lobby on South Lamar.
I hit up Joanne's on my way home (and ran into my boss and his wife there, the last place I'd expect to find Tony!), and picked up a bunch of Caron's new Spa line of a bamboo/acrylic mix. It was on sale, not hugely on sale, but wow, fantastic colors and it's amazingly soft and silky. I have a skirt I want to make, that I was starting in a sport weight mercerized cotton, but I'm totally making it in the yarn I picked up today. The last two days I've gotten quite a bit of yarn at good prices. I'll use it eventually, since this is all for charity stuff, and I'm not picky on colors (esp since I have so much yarn, I'm sure to have something that will be easy to match), and I love a good price.
Sam was very much out of sorts earlier when I left, but he seems more relaxed now. Kitsu is hanging on the bed being mellow. And Charlie is snuggled up on my legs, purring her head off. It's the greatest thing to snuggle with her, and as she gets older, she gets even more snugglier.
I was invited to go out with some friends this evening, but I'm thinking of taking myself out to dinner and having a quiet night at home. I have several books I need to finish off (I'm way behind on my 50 book challenge reporting, I should do that). And I want to hit up the grocery to buy myself something nice to eat while watching Wimbledon tomorrow.
